MOD3: Corinne’s Guide Book

Corinne, the Guardian of the Mirror of Destiny, knows everyone that comes to her tent. She sees their possible futures, just as they see it themselves in the mirror. The Guide Book she keeps in her lap fills in the blanks, the details that she can not see.

When people enter her tent, the book comes to life and instructs her on how to relate to them. Whether to help, or leave them to their fate.

To Help, Or Not To Help

When Matilda Jenkins comes calling, the words ‘Do not interfere’ appear spread across the pages of the book. When Sheriff Warner enters, the book instructs Corinne to help him. Why would the book treat the two differently?

The Sheriff is stuck in a case, hoping for a break, and is open to receiving new information. Even if that information comes from a source he neither understands nor completely trusts.

When Matilda first encounters the mirror, she does not take it seriously and disregards what it shows her. Even after realising that the mirror is not a scam, she does not ask for guidance and prefers to handle the situation alone.

The Guide Book will never interfere when people are making choices of their own free will. This is always respected, regardless of whether the choices they are making are in their best interest or not. Guidance is only given to those who are lost and searching for it. Those who are open.
